The Southern Short Course in News Photography is America's longest-running photojournalism seminar. Originally founded by the Carolinas Press Photographers Association, the SSC is now a non-profit independent organization. With its outstanding faculty, the SSC's sole purpose is to provide educational programs for students and photojournalists. Even though the word "southern" is in the name, the competition has no geographic limits and is open to anyone, student or professional.

Mark your calendars! The 59th Southern Short Course in News Photography will be held March 26-30, 2008 at the Hilton Charlotte Executive Park in Charlotte, NC.
